A visual identity that matched the heart behind El Cuerpo.
We started by listening, walking through El Cuerpo’s story from a tiny tutoring program in 2013 to a full hub for the Latino community in Wilmington, NC, serving mind, body, and spirit. From there, we built a visual identity that could carry that growth: a logo system, color palette, and typography that feel warm, rooted in community, and flexible enough for everything from medical clinic signage to tutoring flyers and social posts. We then translated it all into clear brand guidelines and key touchpoints (like web and print pieces) so every interaction looks and feels consistently “El Cuerpo” welcoming, trustworthy, and centered on Latino flourishing.
Shared Creativity
Our brand identity system provided a strong visual framework, colors, and typography, that made it easy for Community Content, to translate the look and feel of El Cuerpo into rich imagery and cohesive web layouts. With that foundation, our collaboration became a natural extension of shared creativity, allowing each of us to contribute our strengths toward a unified, expressive brand. We're grateful to Will for generously allowing us to use his images, and we’re always excited to partner with other talented creatives to serve our community well.
People Make the differnce
Design work feels different when you know the brand you’re shaping will sit in a clinic lobby, in a classroom, or at a family event where people are actually being seen and cared for. As we refined colors, icons, and layouts, we kept picturing real parents finding resources, real kids stepping into tutoring, and real community members feeling, “This space is for me.” Each round of feedback from their team felt like a shared celebration—not just of good design, but of good people doing good work, and our quiet privilege was getting to make their goodness visible.
